“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” Roger Caras

This little book, Chicken Soup for the Soul Celebrates Dogs and the People Who Love Them, is filled with fantastic photographs, quotes, and stories about our best friends. Some of the stories made me laugh, and some of them made me cry.

“From adorable puppies with floppy ears and wobbly steps to full-grown guardians of our love and trust, there is no other animal that compares to the dog. A playful growl, a boisterous bark, a cock of the head, an inquisitive stare – each inspires us with love and adoration. Rejoice in the wonderful and poignant moments we share with our furry friends and the lessons of love they teach us each and every day.”

Those words are from the synopsis of the book on the Barnes & Noble website. This is a great little book to enclose in a Christmas stocking  or wrap as a gift for those dog-loving friends of yours. You can find it here if you wish to check it out: http://bit.ly/aBGEoy

FEATURED PET PHOTO:

This is Crosby in her pumpkin outfit. She was recently adopted from the Mission Viejo Shelter and now lives with Jean’s daughter, son-in-law, and their two happy children. Contributor, Jean, said this, “She’s so sweet and gentle and cute. I know, I sound like a grandmother again! If anyone has any idea what breeds she might be, let us know. Everyone is convinced she’s at least part Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. She has all the good attributes but is obviously a mix because she’s too small and too blonde–and her tail looks like a fox–gorgeous!”

Thanks, Jean, for sharing your grand-doggie with us. She’s adorable! We have one more featured pet photo to post soon. Stay tuned.
