Charlie Bear here….nothing worse than a barking dog, right? Well, dogs like to bark. At things that we SHOULD bark at (like intruders), but we also bark for no real reason at all (like when someone is in the backyard, playing next door, or rides by on their bike), you get the idea.

So if you want to try to CORRECT the behavior, try this, recommended by Dr. Jon at PetPlace:

“My colleague Dr. Debra and I were discussing a client who recently came in. This dog was completely oblivious to his owners’ training. No matter what they did, he ignored it and kept up all the bad behaviors. I was telling her about some of the things the family had tried when her face lit up.  “Dr. Jon, I know just the thing!” she said. “I found this amazing product and it’s going to change how people train their dogs.” She had just introduced it in the PetProductAdvisor.com online store, in fact.  It’s called the Pet Corrector and it is one of the very best training tools I’ve ever seen.

Well, I wanted to make sure I knew a lot about the product before recommending it, so I did some research. It turns out that Dr. Debra wasn’t the only one who went nuts for the Pet Corrector. Check out what dog lovers like you had to say about it:

“I was a bit skeptical about this product, but it worked every bit as well as the rave reviews said it would. The very first time I used Pet Corrector when my dog barked at an inappropriate time, he instantly quieted down and ran in to investigate the source. I consistently used it every time he barked at something he shouldn’t have for about a week, and found that his excess barking lessened considerably. Now I still use it, but sometimes I only need to show him the can – he is instantly quiet and fascinated by the sight of it! Also, his barking is much less of a problem, in general. We’ve made a training breakthrough with the help of Pet Corrector. ” – Elizabeth, Riverside -CA

“I rescue Yorkies, sometimes I have up to 10 dogs in my home. Dinner time is usually a barking hyper mess. But the very 1st time I used the Pet Corrector it worked. & I really have tried everything! Now dinner time is calm and peaceful for all of us.  ” – Gypsymomma, Moss Bluff -LA

“WOW! I am SO Happy with this purchase!…My two dogs barked at every single noise and people were not to fond of visiting me! They always bark excessively and jumped on everyone that came to our door. Well, Not anymore! I only sprayed the can twice and then showed them the can once or twice. They no longer run to the door and go crazy! Now people tell me how well behaved my dogs are!  ” – Scooter and Schotzi’s Mom, Joplin -MO

After talking to Dr. Debra and reading these amazing reviews, I just had to try it and see for myself.  I tested it with a client’s dog that barks incessantly – and the dog stopped barking!  And the first thing my client said was, “Where can I get one?!”

No one likes a poorly behaved dog-especially neighbors, landlords, and family members. Many methods that are on the market work, but they do so at a price. Shock or choke collars can be inhumane, and other behavior correctors use unpleasant sprays or sounds. You don’t have to rely on inhumane methods to quiet your dog; using the Pet Corrector  you can break these annoying habits without yelling or punishment.

If you have problems with barking, give the Pet Corrector a try. I’d love to hear what you think.”

Until next time,
Dr. Jon

Now, I’ve just got to say that Mom Peep does the “shssshhhhhing” sound with me and the squirt bottle too, but that Pet Corrector would probably stop me in my tracks. If you have one already, how has it worked for you?

Charlie Bear, I have to say, Clyde seems to bark (usually) at the right times. Whew! For now, I won’t be needing a Pet Corrector, but thanks for the scoop.

      Hey Julie,
Good for Clyde! Mom does hear his loud “woof” once in a while when she talks to you on the phone, and she loves it. Glad he’s learned to bark (like me) when it is necessary!
Woofs (little ones) and wiggles to you,

    Dear BJ and Charlie Bear,
I’m Debbie Moore and my miniature schnauzers Oreo and Rowdy used to write you a lot cuz they worried about me and were like my family and we were very happy as our little family. I am extremely sad to say that Rowdy was killed (MURDERED) about 3 weeks ago in our yard while he was going potty. A VERY MEAN neighbor has been shooting many small pets for no reason other than he must be EVIL! Poor Rowdy was shot thru his neck. Oreo and Rowdy have NEVER been apart for even one night since they were born 3 1/2 yrs ago. Oreo has grieved terribly and I have been in the hospital for 2 nites and Oreo was home alone and he apparently has severe separation anxiety because he tore the house up and was shaking so hard when I came home, I thought he was having a seizure. I am wondering if I should just get another dog for him so he won’t be so afraid.
Also, I am their momma and I am now confined to my wheelchair and in worse than the most severe pain I have ever been in. Yesterday I had to be put under general anesthesia and given over 100 shots in my connective tissue/muscles/ligaments and tendons to ease the pain a little bit. People wonder WHY I am irritable and depressed but I have just lost 2 Aunts, my Darling Rowdy and my ability to walk even a little bit! A van is supposed to be on its way to me in NE from MS over 1000 miles away. Assistive Technology is supposed to put a wheelchair lift on it for me so that I can take my electric wheelchair wherever I go!
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know about our loss of our dear, little Rowdy! We ALL miss him but I am worried a lot about Oreo. He already was very clingy to me and now it is like he cannot let me out of his sight without losing his mind! He has even had several days of severe vomiting and diarhea and the Vet has been worried about him also. He said that him losing his brother like that was very traumatic for him and that’s why I am wondering if I really SHOULD get him a partner so he will not be so scared.
Thank you so much for having been someone to talk to thru my pet family because you have helped me in many ways whether you know it or not, Oreo and Rowdy have saved my life more times than I can count and have helped with my sons seizures. They both had a sixth sense when it came to helping us with our health problems and the loss of Rowdy has had a profound effect on us all. My mean neighbor also shot 2 small beagles in their own yard, a daschund and a pomeranian and my Rowdy! I hope that man never gets a decent night of sleep ever again. He deserves that for killing so many beautiful pets that never bothered him for a second!
    Thank you both!
    Sincerely, Debbie Moore

      Debbie,
Charlie Bear and I are so very sad that you no longer have Rowdy. What a terribly sad and horrible way to lose him. We hope the van comes through soon for you and that you can get around a litle more. We also hope that if it is your wish to find a friend for Oreo, that you find just the right little “cookie” to keep him company (and to love you, too).
Our deepest condolences on your loss. We know Rowdy is up in heaven over the rainbow bridge frolicking and playing and he’ll be there waiting for you and Oreo when the time is right for you to join him. Until then, our best wishes for both of you.
      Woofs & wiggles and hugs,
      Charlie Bear and B.J.

I’ve tried the Pet Corrector and it did….nothing. Totally useless. The first time I used it, Tara stopped and looked at me. The second – nothing. She barks right through the noise. I’ve tried a LOT of products – mostly noise-type makers like this one and all have been ineffective.

      Carlene,
Okay, good to know it didn’t work for you. It is encouraging that the first time she did stop and look at it. Then she must have been used to it, or it didn’t bother her. Sorry it didn’t work out.
      Best,

Thanks so much, Charlie Bear. We have a neighbor with a dog (two, actually) that barks at every little thing–and it’s a big black lab with a ferocious bark. I’m trying to figure out a subtle way to let the neighbor know about the product; if you think of something, let me know. And let your mom know we are enjoying your “life story” very much. Dan,
It’s really tough to get whippersnappers to stop barking, and even harder on big, stubborn labs! Rex was a Golden Lab and his barks, when he did bark, blew me across the room!
      Good luck!
      Best wishes & woofs,
      B.J. & Charlie Bear
