Dear God: Is it on purpose that our
names are the same, only reversed?
Dear God: Why do humans smell the flowers,
but seldom, if ever, smell one another?
Dear God: When we get to Heaven, can we sit
on your couch? Or will it be the same old story?
Dear God: Why are there cars named after
the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang,
the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE
named for a Dog? How often do you
see a cougar riding around? We love a nice car
ride! Would it be so hard to rename
the ‘Chrysler Eagle’ the ‘Chrysler Beagle’?
Dear God: If a Dog barks his head off
in the forest and no human hears him,
is he still a bad Dog?
Dear God: We Dogs can understand human
verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles,
horns, clickers, beepers, scent IDs,
electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee
flight paths. What do humans understand?
Dear God: More meatballs,
less spaghetti, please.
Dear God: Are there mailmen in Heaven?
If there are, will I have to apologize?
Dear God: Here is a list of
just some of the things I must remember
to be a good Dog:
1. I will not eat the cat’s food before he eats
it or after he throws it up.
2. I will not roll on dead seagulls, fish,
crabs, etc., just because I like the way they smell.
3. The Litter Box is not a cookie jar.
4. The sofa is not a ‘face towel’.
5. The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff.
6. I will not play tug-of-war with Dad’s
underwear when he’s on the toilet.
7. Sticking my nose into someone’s
crotch is an unacceptable way of saying ‘hello’.
8. I don’t need to suddenly stand
straight up when I’m under the coffee table.
9. I must shake the rainwater out of my fur before
entering the house – not after.
10. The cat is not a ‘squeaky toy’,
so when I play with him and he makes that noise,
it’s usually not a good thing.
P.S. Dear God: When I get to Heaven,
will all my friends be there?

This wonderful collage of photos and text
comes from an internet site that my Mom Peep
got. Isn’t it cool? The last question could
have come directly from me, Charlie Bear, but
I already know the answer. The answer is YES.
Big dog Rex is already in heaven, and I
know I’ll see him there.
Wiggles & Woofs to all!

Dear Charlie Bear,
I am sorry for taking so long to comment but my mom was out of town this weekend and she just got a chance to share your post with me. All I can say is you must have read my mind!! I lay around the house thinking about these same things all the time. I know you are right about the one about heaven, but when you find the answers to all the others please let me know. Take care!
Your pal,
Jake
Jake,
I’ll do my best to find out the answers to all these questions, but I think they’re going to remain a doggone mystery!
I bet you are happy your Mom is home.
Wiggles & Woofs,
Charlie Bear
Loved it! Had me some chuckles…dogs barking in the woods what do humans understand, and so on. i am sure that Sadie and Shadow would agree with you, Charlie Bear. Now that it’s getting cooler outside, they spend a whole lot more time inside. But they have to be outside at night, cause who else would scare the cats and deer and moose and that fly across the field away from the yard if they were inside? Or how about that one vehicle a week that actually stops at the stop sign a quarter of a mile away? Thanks again, both of you
Sadie and Shadow and Mom Marianne,
I like to scare cats too. Our outdoor cat Bear has a new friend that seems to be stuck to him like Elmer’s…she’s a big white kitty with what Mom calls rheumy eyes. They’re kind of bloodshot and ringed in red. She wears a collar with a jingle tag on it, so she must have a home. Mom feeds her alongside Bear and says it’s no problem at all. Heck, it’s just one more kitty for me to chase, so no problem here!
I hear you about cars…but deer and moose? I don’t get to see any of those, but I’d like to!
wiggles to you,
Charlie Bear
Our cats don’t scare…Charlie Bear. We just bark at them to let them know we are alert! And deer and moose and wolves are actually kinda scarey to us…We stay right under our peeps window to talk to them!
Cute and sweet, Charlie Bear, thank Mom Peep for posting it for you. Crosby and family will love it.
Jean and Crosby,
I did thank Mom with a little sloppy licky kiss. She likes those. She says they feel like feathers.
Wiggles & Woofs to you (and Mom says she hopes your clean-up and revamping is going good),
Charlie Bear
Loved this! So sweet, Charlie Bear. Keep blogging!!
Clyde and Julie,
I didn’t see a big dog like you, Clyde. Neither did I see a little dog like me represented. Well, maybe there were one or two that looked a little bit like me. But…there’s really nobody like me in the whole wide dog world. Besides, we don’t bark in the forest or roll in dead seagulls….right, Clyde, right?
Woofs to you and Your Mom Peep,
Charlie Bear
Loved this post. Skippy and Bailey did too. They agree wholeheartedly to all the points made.
Skippy & Bailey,
How’s Bailey settling in, Skippy? Are you both having fun? I know you miss your furry friend Honey Bunny. I hope these pics brought a smile to your Mom’s face (and to yours!).
Woofs to both of you,
Charlie Bear
This was fun. Great pics and dog quotes.
Bongo,
Glad you liked the pics of all our buddies in fur. And thanks for making a comment on my blog post!
Woofs back at ya,
Charlie Bear
