Charlie Bear here with a question for you. Check out this set of pictures and tell me something. I could do what this guy is doing. I could, I could, I could…if I was him!

This is one truly awesome dog. He seems so…well…calm, compliant, serene. I guess I couldn’t really be him. I’m…well…wild, restless, like to run. Huh. Guess to each his own. We can’t all be Maddie the Coonhound. But kudos to Maddie!

My brother suggested I might like this blog. He was entirely right.

much time I had spent for this information!
    Thanks!

First off, I want to say we all can’t be serene and might be made more miserable if we tried too hard (I am not a calm type either!). After this reaction to your post though, Charlie, I went to see what you wanted to do so badly and was horrified at some of the pictures!

You really want to try to be the electric dog or the flexible dog between the two sides of a concrete staircase? Doing the stretching needed on that staircase is dangerous and you could fall, getting broken bones! You could get burns from the wiring if you tried to be the electric dog! Don’t do these things, Charlie! Flower DOG; are those roses with thorns? YIKES! A dog has a sensitive mouth! This is a no-no. Don’t do it, Charlie. Super Dog or no, I like you Charlie!

Sofa dog on male peep; I’m sure your Peep Dad would let you do that…once!

ARE you claustrophic or not, Charlie? Guitar cases don’t give much room to stretch out….I don’t know how Maddie could be so calm about a claustrophic situation! Not much room for mouth breathing which I do, not much room for stomach pooching out upon breathing in, and the legs and “knees” look uncomfortable! The way the legs are folded makes it look like that dog has knees! Do dogs have knees, Charlie???

That dog has balance to stand on someone’s uplifted feet! That is awesome, but as a fan of dogs, I wouldn’t require any Dog Friend of mine to try it! Enough said!

      Susan,
I thought about some of those poses, too, and especially the electric lights one. Ouch. Hopefully, they unplugged them right away. You made some valid points and it reinforces in my mind that I am not a Maddie Coonhound who can contort to do all kinds of things. I think I’ll be content to do just what I’m meant to do…lie on Dad’s lap, snuggle up with Mom, and stretch out upside down in my bed!

Charlie, All I can do is eat and sleep. My furbrother Bailey can sit up at the window and watch cars going by. Oh, he can do a few other behaviors too, but as long as we’re both available for hugs, the Mom Peep is deliriously happy.

      Julie,
Me and Clyde the Slyde have our own God-given talents. I know he teaches you how to rest and relax, right? And I teach my Mom Peep how to have FUN!

i’m sure you could do all that and more, Charlie Bear, but you know what? Just because Maddie does all those things does NOT mean she is loved more or as much as you!
