Do you have someone who cuddles with you just right? Who strokes you, pets you, and makes you feel like you’re the only one in their life?

Mom loves me, I know. But Dad adores me.

Last week my Daddy was gone for five days. Five long, lonely days. I moped around the house, I napped in his chair with one eye open, and I searched for him high and low, even at the office.

Was he coming home? Where was he? Mom told me he’d be back “soon” but what the heck does “soon” mean?

I didn’t know what it was like to have someone love me so completely and now that I’ve got him I don’t want to let him go.

The good thing is (JOY and HAPPINESS) — he returned! After his business trip he came home to me. He was tired, but so was I. He rested in his reclining chair and I snuggled up with him like I always do. And went he went to bed to rest I wanted to stay close to him, so I wiggled my way up there too.

We’re both happy he’s home.

Wiggles & woofs to all,

      Marianne,

I would snuggle with you, give you little whispery licks and kisses, and fall asleep in your arms. Ahhhh…the bliss of love.

Charlie Bear, This is Bailey. I’m not a cuddler. I’m a ruff-n-tuff wrestler kind of pooch. I can’t wait until my daddy comes home because we play with toys like crazy. But right now he has bronchitis and he’s moping a lot, so I’m not getting to play too much. I’m bored out of my tree. My female peep is getting over bronchitis, too, so she’s been dragging her tail and not wanting to play either. Then there’s the other pooch, Skippy. Old and tired! All he does is sleep.Yawn! Boring. Please pray that they get better real soon.

      Bailey,

A ruff ‘n tuff wrestler, huh? I bet we could get it on! (In a good way, of course.) We’d have to leave Skippy out of the fun. He’s like the big dog Rex was…older and past his vigorous playing days.

So your dad and your mom are sick? That is so yucky. My Mom had a doozy of a cold for a while. She was sneezing and coughing and I know Dad didn’t want to catch it. He didn’t and I can’t believe it.

Keep your Peeps happy while they get better.

      Julie,

There’s like a big hole in your heart when someone you love is gone. I was blessed to have my Daddy return after his business trip, and I’m snuggling up with him as much as I can now that he’s back.

      Thanks for calling me cute!

Hi Charlie Bear – this is Oreo and Rowdy! We’ve written to you several times about our peeps and them being sick and thats why we havent got to write in so long. In November, we almost lost our Mom forever, She was so sick she was in the hospital a LONG time and then had to live awhile in a Nursing Home. Then our Dad did too. We had to stay with someone who said we were stupid dogs and we were scared sometimes. Now our parents are home but we have a person who comes every day to take care of our Mom and we missed cuddling with her every night and even tho she only sleeps in a hospital bed, she ALWAYS has room for us! She said that knowing we were at home waiting for her helped her to keep living. She is still very sick but the lady that takes of her helps her with us also and she loves us also! Our Momma is happy that we have someone special to help us. She was told that she can also qualify for a Service Dog and even if she doesnt, then her son BJ would for his seizures! He really needs that. He was in a coma last June and in November and December and he needs a special companion cos Mom has us already and we help her, We know she loves us more than ever and we are happy she got to come home. She just had her 51st bday and she surprised her docs by living!!
Thanks for listening to us! Take Care of your mom and dad – they need us as much as we need them!
Woofs and wiggles and some good licks, too!

      Oreo and Rowdy,

You guys have a job to do, and that’s to love and be loved. Sounds like you are doing your very best. And that’s all we can ever do.

My Mom thinks service dogs are great and she hopes you get one for your Mom or for BJ. They can be so wonderful and help so much. They’re pretty darn smart (but I bet you two are just as smart!).

      Keep loving up your Mom!
Wiggles & woofs to you both,
      Charlie Bear

Soooo cute, Charlie Bear, you are really something else. I remember my Sheltie Chester went to the living room window each week to look for my dad’s car to return home from his week of travel. Chester always knew it was Friday afternoon and when to start looking through the curtains for him. He was first to get the hugs, too, just like you, I bet. You give so much joy and love to your dad. Great to read about it and see the photos.

      Hi Jean,

My Mom told me she was with you on Saturday and filled me in on all the work happening at your house. She said you are holding up quite well for all the turmoil and uncertainty.

Sounds like your Chester was a pretty smart cookie (and I bet his Daddy gave him some sweet cookies sometimes too!).

      Woofs & Wiggles to you,

    Aww, Charlie Bear!

I know just how you feel..my Mom is my world and she was gone for four whole days last October. I was really depressed. She had her son come and stay with me and the cats, and I like him just fine, but it wasn’t like having Mom home. The belly rubs weren’t quite the same, and the food didn’t even taste the same, that’s why I didn’t eat it all. At least I didn’t think it did. And even though he gave us our treats, he didn’t stand in the living room and call out “Treats!” and then laugh when we all ran in to him like Mom does. I was so glad when she got home.

Her son says I’m no fun to even go for a ride with because if Mom gets out of the car and runs in the store for a minute, all I do is look at the door and whine until she comes back out!

I can’t help it. I’m a rescue just like you, Charlie Bear and now that I’ve finally found my forever home I love it and my Mom so much that I can hardly bear (hehehe) to be away from her.

Have a good time catching up on those naps with your Daddy!

    Your pal,
    Jake
