A mother’s love – is there anything like it? It doesn’t matter to this doggie mom that the baby who needs love and sustenance is not the same color, the same size, or the same breed. This mom gives her love freely.

I’m leaving for a trip to the Midwest this morning to be with my own mom and extended family. And these photos remind me that I may be a little different (can anybody who isn’t a writer understand a writer?), I’m mega-taller than most of the family (petite little things at 5′ 3″ or so, I tower over most of them at 5′ 6), and I’m California tanned (between raindrops and cloudy skies, they’re lucky to get sunshine to bask in). But they love me anyway…especially my mom. She’ll hold open those arms of hers and smile wide and I’ll stoop low to return her warm hug.

There’s absolutely nothing like a mother’s love.

Thanks Jewels! Send me an email so I can respond to you sometime while I’m gone. Any news? Thanks for the calls yesterday. It was SO FUN to share in your excitement with you! P.S. Thanks for the prayers.
