Charlie Bear here.
My anniversary is coming up. Five years. That’s how long it’s been since I got adopted. Light up a cake! I’ll blow out the candles. Let’s celebrate!
You might think it was all peaches and cream … that when you move from a bad thing in your life into a good thing it’s all hunky dory. But there are challenges. And issues.
Like all anniversaries, it’s only natural (even for dogs) to think about everything that has happened. And for me, it began just over a year before I even got adopted by these Peeps.
I’d like to take you on my journey. Want to come along?
When God closes a door, he opens a window.
We’ll do this in a number of posts, so I don’t overload you. Heck, it’s a lot to remember. But I want to do it. Like Mom with her three-ring binders of her published work, it’s cool to look at how far she’s come. She went through some tough stuff too. And for me, looking back is a reminder of what it was like out there on the street. Ugh. Yucky memories. But maybe you can relate? Maybe your dog’s story is like mine?
Stay tuned to Tuesdays. Let the journey begin.
Wiggles and Woofs,
Charlie Bear
P.S. We’re going to be asking you to send in a photo of your dog. Keep watching the blog for when.

Five years already, Charlie Bear! What fun and fury, joy and sharing you’ve brought to your peeps and to all of us through your blog (Mom’s, too). Congratulations! So glad to have met you and to know your mom.
Jean,
Yes, fun. Yes, fury, too. You nailed it.
Wiggles and woofs to you,
Charlie Bear
Rugby and I will look forward to it! Sending a hug!
Rugby,
That’s a cool name for a dog. Charlie Bear is a sweet name and I love it, but Rugby sounds adventurous, spunky, wild as the wind. Is that true of you?
Wiggles,
Charlie Bear
How neat is this, C.B. I can’t wait to see what I’m going to learn from you!!
Clyde and Ellie can’t either.
Julie, you have no idea. Well, maybe you do cause you’re Mom Peeps friend. Anyway, I have tons to share and I can’t wait!
Wiggles to you and Clyde and Ellie,
Charlie Bear
