Tomorrow is the big day, and don’t we enjoy it for different reasons?

The Game.

The Food.

The Commercials.
Can you choose why I watch? What hubby likes? Why Charlie Bear hangs around?
Why do you watch? And which team will win????
Woofs and wiggles,
B.J. and Charlie Bear
Pick One
I agree with Jean. And I’m split down the middle….commercials and food for me. 🙂
Love you!
Julie
So…the day after the big game and I did indeed split it too. I loved our Super Bowl snacks, and I enjoyed the Budweiser commercial with the Clydesdale horses! Thanks for weighing in, Julie!
Fun, B.J. I’ll play along…
Hubby, the game. He’ll enjoy the food & maybe some commercials, but it’s the Game for him.
Charlie Bear, the food, but mostly having his peeps together with him.
You, B.J., will watch to see the best written and executed commercials. You’ll also enjoy the game with hubby. The food won’t be a highlight.
Winner??? Either.
Rams are pumped because it’s new to their new configuration & coach. But weather & the Saints’ fury and boycott could affect them more than they think.
Patriots have been and done that. The weather is familiar and they’ll feel on top. It should be a good game.
I’m watching because my hubby will ne. I’ll enjoy the good plays, the best commercials. Food won’t play a big part since it’s just us. I dread the nasty penalties that are sure to come. It’s why I prefer college ball.
Enjoy, B.J.!!
Hi Jean, thanks for playing! You got hubby right. Charlie Bear for sure the food. Me, yup, the commercials. I LOVE the commercials.
Who will win the game? You stated it well.
Enjoy!
Hugs,
B.J. and Charlie Bear
Hello sweet sister BJ 🙂
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your latest story in Guideposts…. about your journey of grief over your great grandchild. You are such an encourager and bright light for the Lord ! Keep shining as you are making such a positive difference in this world.
I found out about your blog as I was trying to submit a story for guidepost years ago… I am still trying after 30 years of some day being published myself. Do you have any bits of wisdom for someone like me that has been trying for over 30 years… Should I wait for the next contest? Or would I have a better chance of submitting when there isn’t a contest ?
Blessings to you 💦

Amber, thank you so much for your kind words about the loss of my great-grandbaby. And also for YOUR encouragement to keep shining! Thank you.
Guideposts is tough to break into. The secret is to keep trying. It took me eight years to get into the workshop. Have you read my book Writing True Stories Using the Winning Formula P MS to a T? Personal experience short stories are my specialty (for any magazine in the Guideposts family and also for Chicken Soup, among other markets). That book gives you tons of information. Look at the reviews on Amazon to see what others are saying about it.
Your question of whether to wait for the contest or submit anytime? Do both. Submit as much as you want and then submit again when the contest opens up for 2020. The more we write, the better we get at it, and there are never writing efforts that are wasted. I am always learning.
Hope this helps. Blessings on all of your endeavors, B.J. and Charlie Bear
