Charlie Bear here…and if you have imagination, pretend I’m Snoopy! Here’s to some hope for peace.

P.S. Sorry about the Google ad…anyone know how to turn those off when copying a you tube video? Anyway…Merry Christmas to you all!

The news had come out in the First World War
The bloody Red Baron was flying once more
The Allied command ignored all of its men
And called on Snoopy to do it again.

Was the night before Christmas, 40 below
When Snoopy went up in search of his foe
He spied the Red Baron, fiercely they fought
With ice on his wings Snoopy knew he was caught.

Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ring out from the land
Asking peace of all the world
And good will to man

The Baron had Snoopy dead in his sights
He reached for the trigger to pull it up tight
Why he didn’t shoot, well, we’ll never know
Or was it the bells from the village below.

Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Bringing peace to all the world
And good will to man

The Baron made Snoopy fly to the Rhine
And forced him to land behind the enemy lines
Snoopy was certain that this was the end
When the Baron cried out, “Merry Christmas, my friend!”

The Baron then offered a holiday toast
And Snoopy, our hero, saluted his host
And then with a roar they were both on their way
Each knowing they’d meet on some other day.

Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Bringing peace to all the world
And good will to man.

Hi, Charlie Bear, a Merry Christmas to you and your peeps. I have some sad news for you. My peeps had to send Skippy over the Rainbow Bridge last Saturday. He was 15 years old and not well. My peeps cried all day, and I’m sad too that my buddy is gone. But I think he might be in a pain-free zone right now. Mom peep says we pups don’t have souls, but she, somehow, thinks our wonderful Jesus might have something special for all dog lovers someday in the Land of No Tears.
Mom and Dad peep have been hugging me a lot lately, and I think I know why.

      Dear Marsha and Bailey,
We’re so sorry Skippy has gone over the Rainbow Bridge. I bet he’s frolicking with all the other pets you’ve had and maybe with my Rex (and many others) that are there as well. Fifteen is a good age, but never long enough. I would have cried all day and night too. You might be right, Marsha, that God has a Land of No Tears for pet lovers. We sure hope so. Hug that Bailey a bunch.
And Merry Wiggles to your household (as much as possible),
      Charlie Bear and B.J.

Wow! That was neat! Thanks, Charlie Bear!

Sorry I haven’t been commenting more often, but things around here have been a little crazy. Our mom is “retiring” at the end of the year (whatever that means!) and we are moving. The new house will have lots more room for the cats to roam around and a big back yard for Kenzie and I to run and play. We are all so excited. Here’s wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

    Your pal,
    Jake

Jake and Kenzie (and the cat too),
Yup, my Snoopy days against the Red Baron were a once-in-a-lifetime experience! In my dreams…ahem.
Best wishes for the new house to roam in and play. Changes are always a bit difficult (they sure were with me), but you’ll adjust and all will be well.
Merry Christmas and Many New Year Wiggles,
      Charlie Bear and B.J.
