I absolutely loved this book. Loved the dog’s voice. Loved what he teaches. I don’t normally write in the novels I read, but I underlined passages everywhere. This dog named Enzo  touched my heart deeply. I won’t give away the ending except to say it was perfect. Two paws up to Garth Stein for a great book.

One of my favorite quotes from The Art of Racing in the Rain — “The race is long — to finish first, first you must finish.”

Did you have a favorite quote? Did you like this book? How did you like the dog’s voice in the book? Any and all comments are welcome.

Lois, thanks for the comment. Yes, it was like Enzo was talking just like he would if he had a voice. But we all know dogs understand us, right? It’s a special connection!

Loved the book! Couldn’t mark in it because I didn’t own it. Beautiful language, and the voice/heart of the dog is what we dog lovers know must be true.
