Charlie Bear here. Tell me what you think.

Do you think there’s something to be said for ROUTINE?

Or is there something to be said for MIXING IT UP?

My routine is comfortable, safe, and normal.

My very favorite spot–on top of the sofa–so I can look all around the house.

I love my food bowls.

I can perch on the front sofa to see out the front window (I love sofas).

And I love a good night’s sleep, don’t you?

But sometimes, I like things different.

And I also have a water bowl in the garage.

Which is better? ROUTINE or MIXING IT UP?

Routine keeps us content. No worrying, no wondering, no guessing.

But mixing it up keeps us fresh, excited, surprised and alive.

I say do both. Keep to a routine, but add in a bit of spice and change it up once in a while. It just might do you good.

Wiggles and woofs,
Charlie Bear

Such deep truth to your post, Charlie Bear. Hmmmmmm, I guess routine is my favorite, but, I’m learning to ANTICIPATE new things too. Thanks for the nudge, my little friend. 🙂

A good one, Charlie Bear! Thanks for the reminder at this busy time that losing routine is ok, sometimes even good.
Love to Mom Peep–tell her I miss her.

CB; Would you please tell Bailey & Skippy’s peeps to get her some K9 Advantage to go on them; they have it for dogs & cats, it is supposed to repel those drated ticks & fleas. Hope they get rid of them quick, cause they are not fun. As I have said a few times and will say it again I think we are kissin Cousins for we like the same places & things except I like the back of a chair sometimes so I can see out the front door glass & windows. I don’t think I have ever told you this but I am very very jealous of my Couch for anytime my peeps sit down on it I start a barking fit until they either get up off it or if they don’t then when I get tired of barking I sit down by it and stare up at them until they eventually move, then up I go onto it ‘A Happy Camper’, soon I am snoring away. I can say I am not like that with visitors though for when they sit down on it I just hop up onto their laps and try my best to get me some licks & kisses. Take Care CB & BJ; all you guys have a good time with Routine & Mixing Up!!

    Hugs & Wags!!
    Beaugie.

Dear Lemondrop87, Our Mom Peep has tried two different tick vials and sprays on us, but the ticks are just awful here in central PA. She called our vet, and he told her to put OFF insect spray (for the woods) on us. So she went and bought some today. He said that stuff works as good as anything. So we’ll see. Skip and Bailey.

        Bailey and Skippy,
Mom Peep bought something called Nature’s Repellant. She sprays it on her own hands and then runs her hands on the underside of me and around my back end (I hate it, but she does it quickly). That helps a bit too. And I hope the OFF does, or whatever your Mom can think of to keep them away.

      Beaugie,
How nice of you to reply to Bailey and Skippy with suggestions for keeping off those darned ticks. In some parts of the country they are really bad this year. Mom Peep had to work hard to keep fleas off me this summer. It’s better now that the nights are cooler. I guess that kills them off.
You are very possessive of your couch. Huh. But not with visitors! Interesting.
We’ll take lots of care and you be sure to do the same.
      Wiggles to you,
      Charlie Bear

Oh, for heaven’s sake. Your name should be changed to King Charlie Bear. By the way, we could use some prayer here at our house in central PA. We’re having an awful time with a LOT of ticks in the yard that happen to land on us. Please pray we don’t get Lyme’s Disease. Mom Peep is watching carefully and doing all she can to keep the little buggers off us, but as soon as we go outside, we can pick them up, even if it’s only to “do our thing” for a minute or so.
    Love, Bailey and Skippy

      Bailey and Skippy,
I am a King, huh? I hit the jackpot when I got this home. They treat me so well. Just like I know your Mom Peep loves you two!
Praying for you, and Mom Peep is too, for those nasty ticks to be repelled off of you both. We’re hoping that if they jump on you, they jump right back off!
      Wiggles to you,
      Charlie Bear
