TAYLOR’S TIPS for a more productive you…

Dear Friend,

What is precious to you? What comes to mind when you think of the word?

In the dictionary, precious means of great value, highly esteemed. Synonyms include: dear, expensive, extravagant, high-end, costly, premium, priceless, valuable.

God considers all of His children precious. Here on earth, there’s something precious to me…can you tell what it is?

This year’s Social Directors at our Wisconsin Family Reunion (grandson Nick and pregnant Kaitlyn — yes, that will be my GREAT-grandchild!) did a fabulous job.

Mini golf teams were picked by blind draw.

We celebrated birthdays.

And we did our traditional group photo.

Tonight, as I write this, the California side of the family will get together to go to the Fair. We’ll play games (I love throwing darts at the balloons and winning a little stuffed animal — more fun stuff to send to the great-grandbaby!), eat big turkey legs and corn on the cob (if we were back in Wisconsin it would be cream puffs and cotton candy), and we’ll attend a concert of The Guess Who and Three Dog Night (and stay up WAY past my bedtime).

Precious. All of it.

There are material things that matter in life, like having a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. There is the need to work to make money to live. And there is our health to be concerned about as well as day-to-day activities.

But there is something extra special, something precious, about being with family. Do you agree?

I hope your summer is turning into everything you want it to be, and that you’ll take the next month to make precious memories.

Happy writing and blessings on your work.

Follow your dreams…

B.J.

Latest review:
I truly enjoyed this book. It was straight from the heart. It makes a great case for giving rescue dogs a chance and the emotions that we work through. I had to giggle at several parts and love Ms. Taylor’s style of writing. Not only did it take me on the emotional ride but kept me guessing if Charlie Bear would stay with her family. Thank you for sharing your story Charlie Bear & B.J.!

Like you, family is most precious to me–ohana, we say. Just returned from Maui from celebrating our girls’ 40th (well, they liked to call it their “30-tenth.” 🙂 What joy to watch them spend the week together with all the family around. Can’t believe you’re going to be a great-grandmother! Amazing!
    Love to you, BJ. Jean

      Jean,
Ohana! Glad you are home safe from the trip with the family. Sounds like you had a fun time celebrating the 30-tenth birthdays. How precious that you could all be together. Priceless!

      Dear Ma Writer aka Kay,
You will always be super precious to me — as a mentor, as a friend, as a woman, as a writer. You’ve taught me so much, but there is so much yet to learn. I aspire to be like you: humble, gracious, encouraging, tenacious, loving, and giving. I will keep on striving.
      Love and hugs,
      B.J.

A good piece about enjoying your vacation & family reunion. It is so good thing to get away from cares and worries for awhile and think about things out of the ordinary. Enjoy the rest of your time away from all those things upsetting to you but bet ‘Charlie Bear’ will be “SOOOO GLAD” to see you come back home to him.

      Alice,
You also know the importance of getting away and enjoying a break. And you know how much our furry loved ones miss us and eagerly look forward to our return.
      Best wishes to you,
      B.J.
